We received a nice review for our show supporting Normie Rowe and the Playboys at the Corner Hotel.
Normie Rowe support review
Here's a bit of a shout out to our Stockley, See and Mason drummer Dave "Chickenhead" Stewart, who has been very crook and is now, hopefully,  on the mend at the Alfred Hospital. This is Dave playing on Sam's tune, "Avalanche". What a crash-hot drummer and the perfect person to inform one of a life growing up in Newcastle. Get well Dave.

Doug Rowe tribute

Flying Circus embarking for the US on Arcadia 1971
(L-R Colin Walker, Doug Rowe, James Wynne, Terry Wilkins, Sam See)

Thanks to Nick Black of Southern FM, I recently had the privilege of talking with my former band mates from Flying Circus, Colin Walker and Terry Wilkins and the band's original manager, John Sinclair about Doug Rowe who died in July this year.
The Circus was Doug's band and it was great to have a chance to reminisce about, and pay tribute to, a very good and talented man. We will all miss him.

The podcast is 2 and a half hours - there was much to cover.

Upwey/Belgrave RSL this Friday

or is it Belgrave/Upwey/RSL? Doesn't matter, we are looking forward to the night. All our friends who've played there say it sounds fantastic. (And did I mention the food? Last time we were there, the food was excellent. This isn't always the case in the hills, so hope we can play after a large nosh.

21 September

Given we hadn't played for over month, the gigs this week were fab-o. It's one thing to be as tight as a fish's but it is great fun to play when you are on edge and trying to invent new stuff. Thanks for coming on by...
Our friend, Rob Greaves, filmed a few tunes from Indulgences at the Cabana Lounge gig for a recap review he is writing about us. There's no doubt we have good heads for radio!

See you soon
